Game Recap

The Carolina Forest Panthers boys varsity lacrosse team improved to a 4-1 record by overpowering the Myrtle Beach Seahawks Thursday night, 20-0. The Panthers jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first quarter and never let off the gas. Seniors Joe Venazio (5G, 1A), Austin Nettle (3G, 3A), TJ McCoy (3G), and Matt Sampollo (3G) led the high scoring attack. Senior Josh Reffey returned tonight to control the ball at the face-off and on the field with 5 ground balls. Goalie Stephen Elias keyed the defensive shutout recording 8 saves in only one half of play.

The Panthers have a quick turnaround hosting the midland’s Dutch Fork Silver Foxes on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Ashley Booth Field, Pepper Geddings. This game will showcase a rematch from last year’s state playoffs.
