Carolina Forest Panthers played another region match last night against the Sumter Gamecocks. The final score was 7-0. The Panthers started the scoring off early scoring their first goal within 5 minutes off the foot of #2 Reilly Ward. After the first goal the Gamecocks started to put more pressure on the Panthers and get some momentum back in their favor. However, the second goal for Carolina Forest was scored by #6 Kirsten Mann assisted by #11 Sidney Croland. The final goal of the first half came within 2 minutes of halftime scored by #4 Katie Kulick assisted by #7 Emma Bucci. Katie was in the right place at the right time for this goal sitting right in the center of the box. The second half started off good for the Panthers as well scoring the fourth goal of the night was #3 Lexi Lilly. This is Lexi’s 18th goal of the season, only 4 more goals to set the record for most goals scored in a single season. Next for the stat sheet was #14 Ally Niles with the goal assisted by #2 Reilly Ward. The last two goals of the game both came from #7 Emma Bucci. Great offensive night for the Panthers! The starting defense saw some different spots throughout the game but everyone did their job well keeping the score at zero. The starting defense was #7 Emma Bucci, #9 Abbie McCoy, #1 Sara Padula, #6 Kirsten Mann and our starting keeper was #17 Paige Petrizzo. Carolina Forest plays away at South Florence on Friday. Keep the winning up ladies!
